Cognitive distortions and Mulla Nasrudin paradigm Two Stories
Cognitive distortions and paradigm shifts
Two Mulla Nasrudin stories

Whenever I am overwhelmed and confused by the jargon to me Council looking at the stories of the wise philosopher Mulla Nasrudin Sufi.
Here are two of my favorite Mulla Nasrudin stories that illustrate jargon the concepts of cognitive bias and paradigm shifts.
Nasrudin was the smuggler leader a donkey laden with straw bales on his back.
A customs inspector had recently posted is at the border check-post Nasrudin and his donkey across the border.
Stop ", the customs inspector said:" Who are you business? What do you is here? "
"I am an honest smuggler," replied Nasrudin.
"Ah! really, "said the customs inspector," Well, let me look for straw man bars. If I find something in them, then you have to pay of duties. "
"Do what you want," replied Nasrudin, "But you will not find anything in these Packages. "
Inspector intensive research and participated in sets, but could not find a single thing in them. He had no other choice than to say, embarrassing, Nasrudin, "You can spend the border."
Nasrudin crossed in the ass while the curious and angry Customs inspector looked like.
The next day, very, Nasrudin newcomer on the border Straw with a donkey stock.
The inspector did come Nasrudin and thought, "I am sure this time they start."
He reviewed the straw bales again, and then searched through the clothes Nasrudin and even went through harness the donkey. But happen again, he came up empty handed and had to Nasrudin.
This same trend has continued every day for several years, and every day Nasrudin was increasingly extravagant clothes and jewelry, was advised that rich.
Finally, the customs inspector retired from his position after several years of service, but also in retirement, he asked the man with the donkey bearing straw.
"I should be reviewed, that the mouth of the ass, more broadly, "he thought," Or maybe he has something to hide in the rectum of a donkey. "
Then one day he discovered Nasrudin's face in a crowd. "Hey," said the inspector, I know you! You are the man who was my Checkpoint border every day for all the years with a straw donkey carrier. If you please, sir, may I speak. "
Nasrudin came to him and the customs inspector to retire to continue talking. "My friend, I always wondered what you've smuggled my limit every day. Only between you and me, you must tell me. I am now retired, but I know only to satisfy my curiosity. Please tell me what you were smuggling all those years under the Nose? "
"Donkey," Nasrudin said, triumphantly: "I was smuggling donkeys!"
It is true, not true – sometimes color our thinking, our "mental maps" (paradigms) and "cognitive distortions".
But if we set See things this way, a paradigm shift with all clear. [In simple terms, is a paradigm of how we view the world]
This is the "key" is not it …? To see things differently, to change our paradigm …
The very mention of the word "key" is reminiscent of the famous story Mulla Nasrudin note of a similar theme:
One blistering afternoon in the sun burning Mulla Nasrudin saw people crawl on their knees in the middle of a road to great day desperately searching for some thing.
The crowd was watching curiously for some Time and then asked a strange man: "What you are looking for, Mulla?"
"I have my key lost, "said Mulla Nasrudin.
Be Mulla Nasrudin probably help people connected with the search for the lost key and soon there were many people on all fours in search of the elusive key.
Extensive investigations been performed, but the key was not found when someone in the crowd asked Nasrudin, Mullah, you remember where you lost your keys? "
"I lost the key in the basement of my house," said Mulla Nasrudin factual, sober.
"What?" You lost the key to the cellar your home? "Asked the astonished audience:" Why do you look for the key here, in the middle of the road "
"For there is more light here," said the Mulla Nasrudin sage.
Mulla Nasrudin teaching this story is symbolic.
Everyone is looking for the key. The key to happiness, the key to happiness, the key to freedom, the key to God, peace is the key, the key to success … everyone is looking for some serious "key" in the wrong place …
We are the most for the key waiting outside. The key is looking for success in relationships in which power, wealth, in others. Many light appears outside. Very few flights for the key inside. The key is lost and gone which are therefore looking for within.
We need a paradigm shift and search for solutions to our problems instead of looking inwards to the outside.
The concept of teaching stories embedded in the stories of the inimitable Mulla Nasrudin Reported by Sufis to illustrate aspects of human behavior, for both our personal and professional life.
The first step in the personal development is to try to identify themselves in these stories and realize that you might be crazy or missing as insight into how the characters in this classic stories. And it is for you to tap the wisdom in these stories easy.
I wish you impartial capacity Cognition Paradigm Shift Lights …
You may find that your "key".
