making universal turbo kit question?

im trying to make a custom turbo kit since scion xd has not came with a kit on the aftermarket yet .. is an intercooler, wastegate, tubes/pipe and turbo all that is necessary.. and perhaps fuel injectors?

…and after you’ve done everything else you’ll blow your engine because it wasn’t designed for a turbo.

At the very least you will need to keep a steady supply of head gaskets handy and you will become very proficient at changing them lol
