how to set the timming in a 39 ford flathead 80hp V8?

use a timing light on it,,and mark the bottom pulley it only has 2 marks on it i think,,the timing cover has one,,this should be the 0 degrees mark,,if you,ll set it a little above the 0 mark it will start a little better,,and run a little smoother,,its been a while since i have seen one of them,,i hope i told you right on this,,good luck with it.
