Left lane drivers versus right lane drivers in California?
I have had a discussion with my boyfriend about this issue several times. I hate it when people stay in the left lane on the freeway the whole time. I say, when you pass someone, move back over into the right lane as it is courteous and helps the flow of traffic. He says it is legal in California and most people just stay in the left lane if they are going fast. The problem is that there is always someone who will be driving faster than you unless you are driving 100 mph and then they pass you on the right. I hate it when I am going fast and half to pass someone on the right because the person in the left lane is daydreaming, whatever, and holding up traffic!
Any thoughts?
Please don’t tell me the laws about speeding. I have lived in six states and know speeding is against the law.
In california maybe it isn’t law that you have to get out of the left lane for travel, but you can get ticketed for driving in the left lane if you are impeding the flow of traffic.
