Choke Carb

my holley carb is burning gas should i have my carb rebuilt also my electric choke is broke could that be why?

i heard that almost always if you have a holley rebuilt it doesn’t work as good as before
the choke isn’t closing when it starts so i have to rev the engine up when i start it

If the choke is stuck closed or partially closed, yes, it will run rich and therefore burn more gas.
