how do i turn off my ignition anti theft on my pontiac sunfire?

my ignition anti theft is supposed to turn off when i put the key in the ignition, but it will not. my anti theft is stopping my electric fuel pump from running and the car wont start
It’s a 1997

Option 1 locate the original key fob remote. My 98 Sunfire came with 2 of them. They locked the doors popped the trunk and armed the security system.

Option 2 take it to the dealership and have the security system reset. Only the dealership is going to have the special programmer that allows changing the security settings.

Are you sure it is the security system stopping the fuel pump? Blown fuses bad relays and or damaged wiring will stop it as well.

Does your car have an inertia kill switch? Many cars are equipped with them so that in a sever enough accident the fuel pump is killed to prevent gas spills. Sometimes these trip unintentionally. The information is in the owners manual.
